There’s an old saying, “There is no such thing as a bad beer. It’s that some taste better than others”. I think Billy Carter was on to something. Maybe that’s why he promoted a beer with his name, Billy Beer.
Well, beer has come a long way since 1977. As American taste buds changed, so did the way beer was made. With small breweries trying different recipes, craft beer was born.
Fast forward to 2010 and in a small city just outside of Ft. Lauderdale, Funky Buddha Brewery was born. Known for their Floridian and Hopgun IPA, true followers prefer the seasonal brews which have become yearly celebrations at the time of their releases, respectively. My favorite from them is the French Toast brew and Ana’s favorite is their Floridian.
If you are a beer lover and are ever in South Florida, Funky Buddha Brewery is a must stop. With 40,000 square feet, you are sure to have a good time in their tap room or taking a tour. They also have food which many tap rooms don’t have and their food is not too shabby.
Every time we are in the area, we always stop by for a drink, which ends up with us staying for several hours.
